MILWAUKEE (Sept. 15, 2009) – Potawatomi Bingo Casino awarded an incredible $2,163,352 Wheel of Fortune® Special Edition™ MegaJackpot® on Sunday, September 13th.
A Milwaukee resident, who asked to remain anonymous, said his wife had given him one more hour to play so he “played the max.” After investing only $60 into the winning nickel machine, the winner reported being surprised to learn he had won the top progressive prize. “At first I didn’t know I won. A lady came and said I won $2,000. Then I thought, I played the max and I had five in a row!” he said. The new millionaire reported that he will continue working at his present job, and plans to “share the money and enjoy it with my family.”
Sunday’s MegaJackpot® is the first to be paid so far this year, and the fourth prize over one million dollars awarded at Potawatomi Bingo Casino. Two of the Casino’s largest MegaJackpot® prizes hit on the Wheel of Fortune® one-dollar progressive system. In November 1997, Potawatomi paid a $2.2 million prize, and in July 2004, the Casino awarded an impressive $2.4 million MegaJackpot®. The Casino also awarded a $1.1million prize on the ever popular Jeopardy! ® quarters progressive game. To date, Potawatomi Bingo Casino has awarded fifty-four MegaJackpot® prizes totaling an amazing $24.6 million since 1997.
The Wheel of Fortune® Special Edition™ progressive has a starting jackpot of $500,000. In order to win the MegaJackpot®, five Wheel of Fortune® symbols must line up on the machine’s first payline with a maximum bet wagered.
