2017 Native American Risk Management Conference at Potawatomi
As a vital part of the state’s workforce, Native American casinos have a responsibility to provide a safe environment for team members and guests alike. The safety lessons learned at each property are most valuable when shared. That’s where the Native American Risk Management Conference (NARM) comes in.
Since 1998, NARM has provided opportunities for tribal representatives and business partners to come together and share information regarding risk and safety management. This annual conference brings participants from tribal casinos in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan together at a host property. This year’s host is our very own Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. The anticipated attendance is 150 representatives from more than 20 tribal casinos.
The 2017 NARM Conference will feature roughly 25 presenters broken out into three tracks, with time provided at the end of each session for questions and answers, plus additional time allocated for networking with exhibitors and peers. Topics may include:
- Tribal and Legal Matters
- Emergency Action Plans & Preparedness
- Workers’ Compensation
- Safety Inspections & Investigations
- Training Programs
- Safety Committees
- Pest Control
- Active Shooter Training
We encourage all attendees to actively listen, participate and engage during and after the sessions.
This year’s conference will be held on July 20-21, 2017. Admission is free, and Potawatomi is offering a special hotel room rate of just $109 per night for conference attendees. To book your stay, call 844-218-4100 and mention the Native American Risk Management Conference for the discounted rate. Don’t forget to book before June 19! Learn more and sign up here.
