Dream Dance Steak's Chef Matt Baier Wins Wisconsin's 2014 Taste of Elegance

MILWAUKEE – Chef Matt Baier of Dream Dance Steak earned the title of Chef Par Excellence at the 2014 Wisconsin's Taste of Elegance. Sponsored by the Wisconsin Pork Association, the contest was held at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells on Feb. 6.

Baier was one of eight chefs from Wisconsin putting his culinary skills on display during the competition. Contestants were encouraged to create pork dishes in a creative and non-traditional manner. Baier’s winning dish was a pork trio of bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin with pork strudel.

As the Chef Par Excellence, Chef Baier won a $750 award and will be attending an educational weekend in April hosted by the National Pork Board and held at The Culinary Institute of America’s Greystone Campus in St. Helena, Calif. He also won the $250 Best of Soy award.

The pork trio of bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin with pork strudel will be featured on Dream Dance Steak’s spring menu in March.
