Milwaukee to Recognize July 26 as "Mr. Warmth" Don Rickles Day

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee will celebrate "Mr. Warmth" Don Rickles Day on Monday, July 26, in conjunction with two shows he will be performing at Potawatomi Bingo Casino's Northern Lights Theater.

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett's office issued the proclamation that recognizes Rickles as one of the most iconic entertainers of the past 50 years for his work as a stand-up comic, in movies and on television. The proclamation also recognizes Rickles' generous dedication of time and resources to charitable causes.

Rickles will be presented with the proclamation by representatives of the mayor's office and the Casino during his 8 p.m. show Monday, July 26.

Additionally, the Casino plans to honor Rickles during his visit by permanently renaming the theater's green room the "Mr. Warmth" Don Rickles Green Room.

Rickles is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. Monday, July 26, and Wednesday, July 28, at the Northern Lights Theater. Tickets are $65 and $75. Call the theater box office at (414) 847-7922 or for ticket availability.
