Two of Milwaukee's Most Decorated Chefs to Face Off at Dream Dance Steak's Chef Showdown Dinner
MILWAUKEE - Dream Dance Steak will serve as the battleground when two of Milwaukee's most lauded chefs will take part in the restaurant's second Chef Showdown Dinner on Aug. 23.
Chef/owner of Meritage, Jan Kelley, and Chef de Cuisine Justin Aprahamian of Sanford will put their culinary skills on display during this unique event. Guests dining will vote between the competing chefs to decide the event's winner.
As part of the competition, each chef will prepare the second, third and fourth course of the five-course meal. Award-winning Chef de Cuisine Jason Gorman of Dream Dance Steak selects the proteins for each course and provides the dueling chefs a list of ingredients they can prepare each course with. Each of these courses will be paired with a wine selected by Milwaukee certified sommelier David Harrell. Selections include the '08 Ceretto Moscato d'Asti, the '06 Sonoma Coast Sauvignon Blanc and the '08 Forefront Pinot Noir.
"The popularity of this event has really been astounding," Dream Dance Steak General Manager Jeff Cook said. "We're thrilled to bring the showdown back for a second time this year, and anticipate another fun-filled evening with these amazing chefs."
Doors open at 5:45 p.m. and dinner begins at 6:15 p.m. and costs $75 per person, gratuity not included. For more information, or to make reservations, call (414) 847-7883 or visit www.paysbig.com.
