Alex Hall began plotting the course of his music career at the age of three when he first strapped on a plastic toy guitar and belted out, “One for the money, two for the show…”Alex describes his music as country with a rock edge, but like his musical influences, Elvis Presley, Jason Aldean and Johnny Cash, his music does not fit neatly into one simple category. He writes songs about growing up in the south and the family his parents have raised him to love.Born in Atlanta and raised in Gainesville, Georgia, Alex grew up vocally training under the tutelage of choral director and mentor, Eric Elliott. With the support of his parents, Alex began performing in local restaurants and bars during his freshman year while continuing to hone the craft of songwriting. His hard-driving approach to performing eventually landed him in the Maysville studio of Lee Davis where Alex recorded his first record at the age of fifteen. Thanks to relationship building, Alex has had the good fortune of penning songs with highly regarded songwriters Mike Dekle, Bruce Burch, Byron Hill and Red Bow recording artist, Rachel Farley. And for the past three years, Alex has been under the guidance of renowned vocal coach and producer, “Mama Jan” Smith of Jan Smith Studios in Atlanta (Justin Bieber, The Band Perry, Usher), where the maturity and strength of his voice surprises first-time listeners who are very typically captivated by his distinctive style and high-energy performances. His performances include sharing the stage with Bucky Covington, Jimmy Hall, Frankie Ballard, Gavin DeGraw and Thomas Rhett.
