Tribute to Albert Collins

Individually, Coco Montoya and Ronnie Baker Brooks are generational talents. Together, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more dynamic fusion of sounds emanating from a stage. The two artists combine the dreamlike harmony of blues with the captivating rhythm of rock n’ roll to create absolute musical euphoria. A night of these two sharing the spotlight is a performance sure to please a crowd.

Few people can set a stage ablaze with a rousing performance like Coco Montoya. In a career that spans nearly four decades, he has put his musical prowess on display all around the globe, from the United States to Spain to Brazil to Australia. With scorching guitar talent, masterful drumming skill, soulful singing ability and a knack for writing lyrics, Montoya is a “total package” artist.

He’s taken the stage with the likes of legendary blues musician Albert Collins and British blues star John Mayall. As a solo artist, Montoya has released 10 albums but has been credited on dozens of albums dating back to the 1980s.

Son of Texas and Chicago blues legend Lonnie “Guitar Jr.” Brooks, ultra-talented Ronnie Baker Brooks began playing guitar at age six. When Brooks hit age 19, he joined his father, who had influenced some of the most well-known bluesmen in history: Jimmy Reed, Johnny Winter, and Junior Wells. Before going solo at age 32, Brooks had already shared the stage with Eric Clapton, B.B. King, and Buddy Guy.

As one of our generation’s blues greats, Brooks has an illustrious track record – both credits and solo albums. His solo career continues to surge with 2017’s, eleven-track Times Have Changed being his most recent piece of art, and Brooks has no plans to slow down.

Come and see this power duo put on a performance that you won’t soon forget!
