Eric Martin started his career singing at the end of the ’70s for a San Francisco-based band called 415. With 415, Eric played hundreds of shows opening for established acts like Billy Squier, Hall & Oates, Journey, ZZ Top and Foreigner to name a few. The band parted ways shortly after 415 was signed to Elektra/Asylum Records, released a record and changed their name to the Eric Martin Band (EMB). In 1988, Eric teamed up with Billy Sheehan, Pat Torpey and Paul Gilbert to form Mr. Big. They enjoyed enormous success with the release of six studio albums and numerous hit singles. All combined, worldwide sales topped the seven million mark. During the two-year hiatus from Mr. Big, Eric released his third solo album, and in the summer of 2001, Eric and the rest of Mr. Big released their last effort, “Actual Size.” Today, Eric Martin is still alive and kicking, regularly touring the world as a solo artist and with his new super group, Scrap Metal. The consummate professional musician, Eric Martin is a performer you won’t want to miss.
