Few musical artists can claim membership in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Fewer still can say they're a founding member of the seminal band credited with creating Country Rock; only one artist can include all the above in addition to being one-half of the most successful duos of the 1970s – and that’s Jim Messina.

Jim has been an influential recording artist, engineer, and producer for more than half a century, including being a key member of Buffalo Springfield in the late 1960s. During his time with the legendary band, he worked as an engineer on multiple albums, including Buffalo Springfield Again. He would go on to play guitar with the folk group until they disbanded in 1968. But that was only the tip of the proverbial iceberg for Jim.

After his time with Buffalo Springfield, Jim formed the country rock band Poco, which released two studio albums and one live album. But in 1970, Jim left Poco and teamed up with Kenny Loggins to create Loggins and Messina. During their six-year run, the two released nine albums. At the end of their time together, the duo sold more than 16 million copies worldwide.

The bulk of Jim’s career has been as a solo artist, where he released eight albums of his own, including critically-acclaimed Oasis, Messina, One More Mile, and the retrospective of concert favorites Watching The River Run Revisited.

After 23 album releases and countless collaborations, Jim remains as energetic as ever. His dedication to his craft proves the fire inside his musical soul continues to blaze brightly.
