Rainere Martin as Donna Summer With an early focus on R&B ballads and an appreciation for the art and craft of the late Donna Summer, Rainere developed and presents Legends shows featuring many of Donna’s favorites. While Rainere’s song list is ever evolving, her desire to share her gift is apparent in her spectacular Donna Summer tribute.

Herb Rawlings as James Brown An award-winning singer, actor and dancer Herbert Rawlings, Jr. has starred in the international and Broadway revival of Dreamgirls, has headlined on the Las Vegas strip and appeared as James Brown in the movie Talk to Me. Rawlings has also been a featured soloist with the Duke Ellington Orchestra. For Herb Rawlings, portraying “The Godfather of Soul is a dream come true.

DeNita Asbury as Aretha Franklin Detroit native, DeNita Asbury started touring at 19, playing the Detroit Music Hall and singing in gospel musicals like Momma Don’t and Wicked Ways. She has toured with the GRAMMY-nominated Clark Sisters and Reverend Rance Allen. Then, in 1995, she toured in Broadway’s Beehive in Las Vegas, as well as portraying both Whitney Houston and Tina Turner in the Las Vegas production of Legends in Concert. Later she debut her Aretha Franklin with The Heroes of Rock and Roll show. DeNita is honored to be portraying the “Queen of Soul,” the first woman inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Kenneth Jones as Stevie Wonder Kenny Jones is known as “The One and Only.” A gifted singer, songwriter, musician and recording artist, he has received rave reviews and standing ovations worldwide. For the past 15 years, Kenny has performed in various theaters and arenas throughout the country paying tribute to the incomparable, Sammy Davis Jr. in the hit show The Rat Pat Is Back, as well as his favorite performing artist icon, Mr. Stevie Wonder. Kenny’s credits include many residencies in Las Vegas, as well as the famous Fox Theatre and The Orpheum Theatre to name just a few. Being able to pay homage to Stevie Wonder, someone whom he’s admired since a teenager, is an opportunity of a lifetime.

Cookie Watkins as Tina Turner Cookie Watkins started performing professionally at the age of 20, in the disco era. She then moved on to theater portraying Tina Turner in the hit Broadway show Beehive, which brought her to Las Vegas where she embarked on a tribute career as Tina Turner and performed in the Legends in Concert show for over 15 years. You may have seen her on TV’s The Next Best Thing, where she placed near the top. Currently she performs her own Tina Turner Tribute Show all over the world. She’s delighted to be back at The Northern Lights Theater as the show’s closing act as the Queen of Rock and Roll, Tina Turner.
