Come one, come y’all! Let’s revisit the days before country was cool! Come see the Country & Western icons whose careers set the stage for country music’s amazing rise in popularity. We’ve rounded up A-list tribute artists from around the country for this special run at The Northern Lights Theater. We’ll also have a live band of real-deal country musicians and, as you’d expect, our accomplished dancers and eye-catching costuming direct from Las Vegas!
Kelly perfectly embodies the tone, voice and stage presence of Dolly Parton. Audiences throughout the world have been awed by Kelly’s physical and vocal similarities. Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Kelly has been captivating fans across North America and Europe in venues ranging from casinos to stadiums and festivals. Kelly has won awards in New York, Nashville and Las Vegas. She often performs her one woman show, “The Women in Me” tributing many female country icons. She has backed Barbara Streisand and opened for Diana Ross. Kelly refined her musical talent with studies in voice at Humber College in Toronto and at The Royal Conservatory of Music.
Shawn Barker was born and raised in the metro St. Louis area where, like most entertainers, Shawn’s first experience with music was attending church with his family. From singing in church, playing drums in the school marching band or singing in cover bands and coffee houses, music and entertainment has always been in Shawn’s blood. In 2004, Shawn auditioned for the part of Elvis Presley in the Broadway production of, “Million Dollar Quartet”. The director Floyd Mutrux, (“Dick Tracy” & “American Hot Wax”) recognized Shawn’s unique talent and requested Shawn to submit an audition for the part of Johnny Cash. Shawn agreed and was instantly cast in the part with Mutrux saying, “We have 100 people who can play Elvis, but we only have one that can play Johnny Cash.” Since then, Shawn has performed his unmatchable tribute to Johnny Cash all over the world touring in Australia, Europe, Canada and across the United States.
