From the same region as renowned contemporaries Chris Stapleton, Patty Loveless, Keith Whitley and Dwight Yoakam, Josh Martin grew up playing music in the small coal mining towns of Eastern Kentucky. An accomplished musician on electric guitar as well as mandolin and banjo, Josh’s soulful voice creates an undeniably satisfying blend of traditional and modern country music.
Newly signed to Sony/ATV publishing, Josh has already written songs with award-winning songwriters such as: Kent Blazy, Mark Nesler, Tim Nichols, Steven Dale Jones, Wynn Varble, Luke Laird, Barry Dean, Marla Cannon and many others. His first single with Sony/ATV “How’d You Know” is currently available online with more in the works to follow. With his classic musicianship, honest lyrics and a voice that resonates as deep as the roots of his Kentucky heritage, Josh is well on his way to claim his own place in country music history.
