The Boomers are a three-piece band lead by Phil Henzig, and rounded out by Jim Schrimpf (bass) and Mark Radke (percussion). From the rockabilly stylings of Carl Perkins to the twang of Chet Atkins and Eddie Cochran, the Boomers deliver a broad spectrum of early rock and roll that oozes with raw energy. The twang of a guitar through a Fender amp captures the be-bop dance vibe of the early ’50s when Buddy Holly and Ricky Nelson were topping charts. The electric excitement of the early ’60s Beatles to the defiant rebel sounds of The Stray Cats from the ’80s. The Boomers are all of this: a homegrown hotrod & rockabilly revival festival. Shake it; shake it, baby!
