A Tribute to the King: The Elvolution
Starring Ryan Pelton
January 6 & 7 at 8 p.m.
After 13 successful years, The Northern Lights Theater is taking a year off from the Tribute to the King competition to focus on and celebrate what would have been the King’s 80th birthday. In honor of this momentous occasion, The Northern Lights Theater is proud to present the Tribute to the King Show: THE ELVOLUTION, starring Ryan Pelton, at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino.
In September 1998, Ryan Pelton was dared by his mother to enter a local Elvis Presley contest. Pelton then won the contest. His days as a website designer would soon to be over, as he wanted to pursue entertainment. “I don’t want to be 90-years old one day and look back saying, ‘what if?’” said Pelton.
Over the next decade, Pelton honed his craft becoming an international, award-winning Elvis tribute artist. He has performed all over the world, from casinos to fairs, theaters to festivals, production shows to professional sports arenas. Entertaining tens of thousands of audiences, there is no doubt that Ryan Pelton is one of the rarest kinds of performer that lives up to his billing, time and time again.
In 2011, Ryan Pelton decided it was time to take his career to the next level when he released his first original album, Wash Over Me. Within a week of the release, a well-known Nashville publishing company signed Pelton as a songwriter.
Shortly thereafter, Pelton was offered the lead role in a Hollywood film called The Identical. He took the screen name of “Blake Rayne” for the film, which starred Ray Liotta, Ashley Judd and Seth Green. The film, which won the “Audience Choice Award” for best film at the Nashville Film Festival, opened in theaters in September 2014 and will be available on DVD and Blu-ray in January 2015.
Ryan Pelton continues to tour as Elvis Presely under his original name. His entertainment company is launching a new show called The ELVOLUTION in 2015. Pelton continues to pursue acting and music under the name “Blake Rayne,” and his first original “Blake Rayne” album will be released in spring 2015.
All guests must be at least 21 years old to enter Theater or to watch shows at Bar 360. All tickets are sold with a no return or exchange policy. All schedules/times are subject to change at any time without notice.
