Upside Groove Coalition
Thursday, July 18 at 8:30 p.m.
If Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder sat around listening to Led Zeppelin, the musical result might sound something like Milwaukee’s Upside Groove Coalition. The group’s members bring an array of diverse talents and artist influences to the stage, creating funky, danceable sets sprinkled with soul, funk, rock, jazz, Latin and hip-hop.
The Coalition was formed in 2001 by friends Steve Tych (bass) and Brian Bruendl (drums), who envisioned an outlet where musical ideas could flow freely between members. The band has gone on to record and tour the country, opening for high-profile performers, as well as playing Milwaukee hot spots like The Big Gig, State Fair and other local events and venues. Fans and new listeners alike will agree, wherever Upside Groove Coalition is playing, there’s sure to be a dance party in effect.
All guests must be at least 21 years old to enter Theater or to watch shows at Bar 360. All tickets are sold with a no return or exchange policy. All schedules/times are subject to change at any time without notice.
