Things to do in the Fall in Milwaukee

Harvest FairFALL FESTIVALS
Soak up that crisp fall air while you can! The Milwaukee area still has plenty of outdoor fun planned for the autumn months. Add these fabulous fall festivals to your calendar.

  • The State Fair may have come and one, but the fairgrounds still have tons to offer as we head into chillier weather. You’ll find fall fun for all ages at the Harvest Fair, with amusement rides, a farmer’s market, live music, pumpkin bowling and even a lumberjack show! Check it out September 22-24, 2017. The best part? Free admission!
  • You’ll find culture, food, art, music and more at the 8th Annual Dia De Los Muertos Festival, October 28, 2017. The day kicks off in Walker Square Park at 10am, with a 5K Run/Walk at noon and a parade at 2pm. This free community event promotes cultural awareness and understanding.

Corn MazeCORN MAZES
If you’ve never tested your navigational skills in a sea of corn stalks, we highly recommend it! Here are a few local options:

  • Basse’s Farm Corn Maze has been making corn mazes since 1998, so they know what they’re doing! The maze is open from September 23-October 31, 2017, located at 3190 County Line Rd. in Colgate, Wisconsin.
  • The corn maze at Cedar Creek Farms opens on September 24. While you’re there, check out their pumpkin patch, hayride or petting zoo – enough to keep the whole family entertained!
  • If you’re in the Mukwonago area, head over to The Elegant Farmer. Along with their corn maze, they also offer apple picking, train rides, pony rides and hayrides every Saturday and Sunday through October 22.
